Due to an exceptionally busy spring this is my first report for a while, for which I apologise, normal service is now resumed and you will be able to keep up to date with what is happening on our Cambridgeshire Fisheries here at Carp Talk, on a more regular basis.

Willow Lake at Fenland Fisheries as usual has been very busy and as always producing some fantastic sport for our visiting Anglers, 3 different Forties out, numerous Thirties and some huge Catfish if that’s your thing. Vacancies on Willow are difficult to come by so to book in advance call the onsite shop on 01487 841858, only 7 anglers per night and you must book in advance. On the same site, Fenland Fisheries day ticket water Vermuyden has been providing plenty of action with several fish now pushing over Thirty pounds , night fishing is allowed but you must book this in advance using the same number as above.

The Meadows at Holme Fen Fishery has as you would expect produced lots of big fish including several Fifties, although as I write the much sought after Captain Jack has been seen many times, but not yet banked. On the same complex Poachers Pool has been fishing its head off!! Individual catches of up to 6 thirties in a session and a new lake record of 38lbs plus. To book on The Meadows or Poachers Pool go to www.holmefenfishery.co.uk were you will find an on-line booking system.

Our exclusive let waters Abbey Lake, Thorney Mere and Blackberry Pool have all fished well and as usual are almost full for the year; go to our website for booking information.

Our syndicate waters have also produced some fantastic fish, Whittle Mere at Teakettle Fisheries has a new Lake record at over 42 pound, Woodpecker Lake has produced several forties and its first Fifty cannot be far away, and the newly opened Trout Lake syndicate has produced some lovely originals to support the fast growing stock fish.
